NW Girls, Aurora Boys Earn Wins


The Northwest girls dominated Aurora 64-32 on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings (4-3) got two threes in the final minute of the first quarter to take the lead 17-13 and never trailed again. Northwest would blow open an 11 point game at the half  by outscoring the Huskies (1-5) 21-8 in the third. Reagan McIntyre put in 17, Jolie O'Hara scored 12. Haylee Brandt added 10 for Northwest. Denae Nachtigal led Aurora with 15.

The boys' game featured nine lead changes and four ties before Aurora rallied for a 45-40 win. The Huskies (4-2) outscored the Vikings (1-5) 15-6 in the fourth. Cannon Allen scored a season high 19 for Aurora. Freshman Dawson Urbanski led Northwest with 19.
