Howard County Accepts Sheriff's Resignation

Howard County Commissioners officially accepted the resignation of Sheriff Tom Busch, who will be the new manager of Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island. Commissioners did not appoint an interim at Tuesday’s meeting. Instead, they moved to accept applications for the position. They’ll have a special meeting on April 16th to hire the interim who would assume the position for the remainder of Busch’s term which is two years and seven months.
