Area Girls Wrestling District Recap

It was a busy day for the KRGI Sport Network Area Schools as Girls Wrestling held their 4 district tournaments throughout the state looking to punch their tickets to the State Tournament next weekend in Omaha.

In District 1 at Battle Creek, Gracie Ackles of St. Paul became the first Wildcat in school history to qualify for the State Tournament as she placed 4th in her bracket

And in District 4 in Broken Bow, The Grand Islander Senior High Girls dominated the field taking home the District 4 Championship blowing past 2nd Place Omaha North by a solid 105.5 points. In the process, the Islanders qualify 12 out of a possible 13 to Omaha.
