GICC Service Day Takes Place Around Grand Island
Students help clean up and mulch Stolley Park Gardens on Wednesday morning
(Grand Island, NE) - Wednesday morning was part of the annual Service Day for GICC students as they gave back to the City of Grand Island in several forms and fashions. Some worked at parks doing landscaping, others stopped by assisted living facilities to do some spring cleaning and yard work. Some students teamed up in groups to tackle highway cleanup along Highway 281. Listen below, KRGI News caught up with senior Lilly Fisher to talk about what Service Day means to her and giving back to the community in several different ways.
