Aurora BB Splits at KC

The Kearney Catholic Girls jumped to a 20-6 lead after a quarter and went on to a 40-23 over Aurora. Trailing by 18, the Huskies (7-9) rallied to within nine early in the fourth. But the Stars (9-7) scored the next nine to ice the game. Denae Nachital led Aurora with 16. The Huskies host GICC (16-1) on Tuesday. The JV game begins at 5pm with varsity at 6:30. Trailing 12-5, the Aurora boys exploded for 25 in a row and went on to a 59-41 win over Kearney Catholic. The Huskies (11-5) led 37-15 at the half. After the Stars (8-8) closed to within 11 in the third, the Huskies scored the next 19. Kaden Wineteer scored a season-high 21 on seven three-pointers. Cannon Allen added 11.
