1-R Teacher Receives 2023 Kim West Dinsdale Excellence In Teaching Award

(Grand Island, NE) - On Tuesday, December 5th the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation named Tammy Chohon the 2023 recipient of the Kim West Dinsdale Excellence in Teaching award. Shohon is a kindergarten teacher now in her 25th year at 1-R with Northwest Public Schools. Chohon is a 1990 graduate of Northwest High School. KRGI's Matt Williams sat down with Chohon to talk about the award and how much has changed in teaching over her time at 1-R.
