The Aurora Boys opened the season with a pair of wins over state ranked teams. The Huskies beat Adams Central 64-55 and edged Wahoo in overtime 76-74.
The Aurora Girls fell to Adams Central 48-31 and Wahoo 53-18.
The Huskies visit Columbus Lakeview Friday. We'll have Saturday's games at Central City on 97.3 the Wolf with pregame at 1:30.

In a game which Aurora never led in regulation, the Huskies downed Seward 66-63 in double overtime, in the semifinals of the Central Conference Basketball
Baylor Scheierman's three pointer with 1.2 seconds left gave Aurora the win. He scored a career high 38 to help Aurora improve to 16-1. Seward is now 11-3
with two of those losses coming to the Huskies in the last week.
The Bluejays led by as many as 12 in the second half, but couldn't hang make it stand up.

Due to weather conditions the girls Class B Sub District 7 basketball tournament has been pushed up a day. First round action between North Platte vs Holdrege followed by McCook vs Lexington will be played on Tuesday, February 12th with the championship between the winners to be played on February, 13th in North Platte. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kamar Baldwin scored a season-high 28 points and Butler defeated Creighton 84-69 on Saturday to end a two-game skid.
Baldwin was 11-of-18 shooting with three 3-pointers and seven assists before leaving with 1:44 remaining after he was inadvertently struck in the face by Creighton's Damien Jefferson going for a rebound.
Joey Brunk, a 6-foot-11 sophomore making his first start, added 13 points and Nate Fowler had three 3-pointers and 11 points for the Bulldogs (10-5, 1-1 Big East), who improved to 8-1 at home after shooting 51 percent.
Martin Krampelj had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Blue Jays (10-5), who had a three-game win streak snapped after shooting just 26 percent from the arc (7 of 27) and being outscored 40-28 in the paint. Mitch Ballock added 13 points and Davion Mintz 10.
Ty-Shon Alexander, Creighton's leading scorer at 17.3 points per game, was just 1 of 10 from the arc, 3 of 13 overall and finished with nine points.
